Eden and Junko are home!

Yesterday Junko and Eden were released from the hospital and came back home. Eden was asleep, and when she woke up she was already in her new home. I wonder what she thought about it.. Having Junko and Eden home feels warm and comfortable. Eden brings a lot of light into our house. In the last few days, Eden started to adopt these really cute baby-expressions. She is so so sweet I feel like hugging and kissing her all day. When she is not sleeping or eating, I grab the opportunity to hold her in my arms and play with her. These pics were taken in the last days in the hospital.

ימים ראשונים בחייה של עדן

עדן קטנה ומקסימה... היא עדיין נמצאת בבית החולים אבל אולי כבר מחר ניקח אותה חזרה הבייתה! הכנו כבר את הכל בבית הקטן שלנו. הבגדים החדשים של עדן מקופלים בקפידה, חבילות גדולות של חיתולים מסודרים על המדף, פוטון הילדים שקנינו לה כבר מונח על שטיח חדש אנחנו גם כן מוכנים: עדן כבר ישנה עם גונקו בחדר בבית החולים, שמענו הרצאות על תזונת ילדים, קראנו ספרים על איך להיות הורים, עשינו אמבטיה לבובות פלסטיק גדולות כחלק מהאימון, ושמענו אינספור אזהרות מחברים על מה שמצפה לנו... אבל הכי חשוב: אנחנו מרגישים מוכנים כשאני מחזיק את עדן בידי ומסתכל אל תוך עיניה הגדולות והיפות, מביט בעור פניה הרך, מריח את ריח התינוקות שעולה מגופה, ומחזיק בידי את אצבעות ידיה הקטנות והעדינות, אני יודע שאני מוכן. אני יודע שאני מוכן לתת את כולי

Eden's first pictures

Eden was born yesterday, February 7th, at 5:58Pm (Japanese time), 3020 grams weight and 51 c. height. The pictures above were taken today, on her first day in this world. The first thing I noticed is that she is beautiful.. I couldnt stop holding her throughout the entire visiting time. Just looking at her face, at her small-cute expresions, trying to imagine how she will look like in a week, a month, and in 20 years. It is not boring for even a second. When I had the feeling she was looking at me back I felt like crying...Her being there, in front of me, is just like a miracle. Something that modern science do not yet provide convincing explainations. (Do you think I will turn out to be an over-protective dad?)

after a week of due date

昨日は予定日から一週間，そして満月の夜。私はこの２−３日何となく疲れやすくゴロゴロしていましたが，これではいけないと近所のスーパーに（ゆっくり歩いて１０分くらい）買い物にいくも，やっぱりお腹が張って帰ってきました。そして夜いつもよりお腹が張るので，ニシムに早く帰ってきてもらいました。夕食後，しばらく生理痛のような痛みが続きました。そろそろ来るかなーと思いながら，ニシムのマッサージで寝入っていました。明け方４時頃，再び下腹部の痛みと尾てい骨の痛み。我慢できない痛みではないけどしばらく続くようなら，病院に連絡しようと思って様子を見ていましたが，再び寝入っていました。そして朝，何もおこらず，，，，今日は検診の日。エコーと心音では恵伝とっても元気な様子（予想体重は３１００g）。産道もかなり柔らかくなってきているとのこと。最後の一歩が，私，恵伝，体とうまくタイミングが合わないようです。 It is already February, and a week passed since Eden's due-day.. I think I am ready, but it seems that it is not enough to convince Eden. She think that life inside the belly are much better...Please help me convince her to come out and tell her how much the world is beautiful..

Jaunary 25

今日は予定日。しかし，，，全然恵伝は外に出る兆しなし。最近確かに，食事も前より楽にできるようになったし，膀胱の圧迫感もある（とてもトイレが近いのです）そして胎動も以前は肋骨を蹴られていたけど，今は下腹部に近くラク。そして骨盤が開くような軽い痛みもあるけど，私は至って元気です。最近はあまり遠出もできず，家の回りを歩き回ってばかりだったので，体力が有り余っている感じです。昨日は私の誕生日だったので，久しぶりに町に出て買い物したり，夜の木屋町を歩きました。赤ちゃんが生まれたら，夜の町を歩く機会も減るんでしょうね。 Today is the 25th January. the due day.. but Eden seems to enjoy life in the belly. Our friends are now trying to guess which day she will decide to come out. How about you? join the bet?

38weeks prepration

いよいよ予定日（1月２５日）まであと２週間をきりました。お腹も1週間ごとにみるみる大きくなりました。今はもうno space です。最近出産したり，お腹にもう子供がいない自分を夢でみます。もうすぐなのかな？ニシムも昨日，博士論文の公聴会が無事終わり，まもなくDr.Nissimになります。あとは私が恵伝をこの世界に送り出す大仕事が残っています。いつでも恵伝が来てもいいように彼女のベットや服の準備しました。彼女のとっても小さい服に私はビックリ。 The delivery is expected sometime on January 25, just one day after my birthday (less that 2 weeks!). There is no more place inside my belly! We allready bought her the bed, and friends gave us many cloths. They are so small..

Trip in Taiwan

恵伝の初めての海外旅行は台湾でした。去年の１１月半ばに（妊娠中期最後に）１０日間，台湾に行ってきました。私達は台北，台南，鹿港の町を歩き回ったど，恵伝は思ったよりもこの旅行を楽しんでいたみたいで全然問題を起こさずいい子でした。ママの私がちょっと中華料理の魔力に負けたくさん食べ過ぎて，なんと１０日間で３kgも体重が増加。帰ってきてから必死のダイエット。（今はなんとか戻しましたが）どうやら恵伝も私達の血を引いて旅好きになりそうです。 Eden's first trip is going to Taiwan. She seems to enjoy Chinese food.also she was not making any problem. I think she also like traveling.
